We use a variety of 100% natural, GM free and fair trade waxes.
In order to make our wax, the original plant oil has to go through a hydrogenation process in order to turn it from an oil into a wax. Unfortunately the major organic certification companies view this as a departure from the original ingredient even though nothing is added during the process. As such they will not allow organic waxes to be certified.
