We always recommend keeping your Wellbeing Pod clean and dry when not in use and do not advise leaving stagnant oil and water inside the tank for prolonged periods of time (no longer than 24-48 hours). For stubborn build up, use sanitary alcohol on a cotton bud if required to clean the inner water tank. If the Wellbeing Pod does not create a mist or the mist reduces significantly, clean the ceramic disc in the base of the water tank. Always switch off the Wellbeing Pod and disconnect the power source from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
To clean the Wellbeing Pod, please follow the instructions below:
-
Press the MIST and LIGHT button to switch off the diffuser and unplug the power adaptor from the mains.
-
Remove the ceramic cover, the inner tank lid and the rubber stopper.
-
Empty any remaining water via the water discharge groove. (Do not empty the water from the side of the vent hole as water may enter the unit).
-
Once emptied, use a kitchen cloth or towel to wipe away any residue remaining in the tank. Then, wipe dry with a clean cloth and ensure that this is done after each use. Doing this will prevent any damage to the ceramic disc which can be caused by the essential oils if left in the water tank for prolonged periods of time. (This type of damage is not covered under the warranty).
